The Newcastle United Armed Forces Supporters' Club (NUAFSC) is the official supporters club for serving personnel, veterans of the British Armed Forces and NATO nations, as well as their dependants.
Founded in North Shields on 8 December 2023 by Army veteran WO1 Mick Warke, NUAFSC has grown into the UK's largest Armed Forces supporters' club, proudly welcoming service personnel and veterans from across the United Kingdom, NATO allies, and beyond.
In April 2024, the club was formally recognised by the Lord Mayor of Newcastle, and in November 2024, NUAFSC became a Community Interest Company (CIC). The club brings together supporters through a shared passion for Newcastle United and military service, while also celebrating the historic links between the club and Armed Forces personnel, including players who served during the First and Second World Wars.
Our mission is to support veterans who may feel isolated after leaving military service by providing friendship, guidance, and a sense of belonging through meetups, matchday events, and social activities.
We work closely with two outstanding veterans' charities: Launchpad and Veterans at Ease.
Launchpad provides accommodation and specialist support services to veterans facing homelessness or hardship, helping them stabilise their lives and successfully transition from military to civilian life.
Veterans at Ease is a leading military mental health charity dedicated to supporting members of the Armed Forces community, including serving personnel, veterans, reservists, and their families. The charity provides assistance for those experiencing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, combat stress, trauma-related conditions, and thoughts of suicide.
Supporters who have not served in the military can also show their support for our Armed Forces community by following @NUFCArmedForces on X.
Your continued support for service personnel and veterans is greatly appreciated.
No matter where you have served, you will always find a fellow Toon supporter within our community.
